Suggested Applications
The multi-system mixer operating with asynchronous video signals DV, PAL, SECAM, and S-Video (4 DV and 6 composite inputs). The DV inputs and the completely digital processing allow eliminating loss in video signal quality when operating with video tape recorders. A special feature is the independent connection of DV sources resulting in the mutual mixing of signals from any of 4 digital inputs, as well as in their mixing with analogue input signals. Taking into consideration features peculiar to DV signals, it is recommended to use the DV inputs for operation with video tape recorders. (The operation with camcorders requires that studio audio signals would be passed through audio delay devices.)
The device feasibility of building up by an autonomous sign generator, a dynamic picture storage and a SECAM encoder, as well as the feasibility of overlaying up to two independent logotypes, recommends the device for using as a good alternative to a mixer (switcher) for production studios, OB vans and mobile studios.
Operational Feasibilities
Commutation of input (4 DV + up to 6 composite) and internal signals – slides, flash card`s videoclips , the color bar generator, and the black burst. The input signals may be nonsynchronous and belong to different systems (SECAM, PAL) and formats (DV, S-Video or composite). The possibility to use a 12 V DC power supply (optional) could be important for OB vans and mobile studios.
