DSC700.06.TW.M The Multi-Purpose TV Mixer with the Built-in Sign Generator
Supposed Applications
The mixer (switcher) for production rooms, mobile studios, and OB Vans. It operates with nonsynchronous video signals PAL, SECAM, and S-Video (6 composite inputs).
A special feature is the availability of the simplest autonomous sign generator of broadcast quality, which allows for overlaying text messages stored in the energy-independent memory with the output video signal at any moment. The titres could be displayed both by a command from the mixer panel according to a planned scenario and in the mode of on-line typing and outputting fixed text on the air.
The synchronous audio mixer allows for using the device as an output air mixer-commutator of advertising drop-in for small studios and production rooms.
The possibility for production of the device with the use of a 12 V DC power supply could be important for mobile systems.
Operational Feasibilities
Commutation of input (up to 6 composites) and 4 internal (slides, the colour-bar generator, the black field) signals by mixing through wipes or by direct pasting without break up. The input video signals may be nonsynchronous and belong to different systems (SECAM/PAL) and formats (S-Video or composite). The preliminary review of the signals prior to their delivery to the main output is possible. The built-in squarer enabling the preliminary display of the input video and the device output signal, as well as of the titre signal. The forming and mixing up to two colour logotypes with the ?-channel. The feasibility of independent creation of logotypes and slides. The digital clock. Theaudio mixer is synchronous with the video. The feasibility of titre mixing from the internal sign generator. The control from the mixer panel with reliable Hall generator buttons. The panel could be placed at the distance up to 25 m from the base unit. The output signal overlaying with titres from an external source. The operation with external titres involves one of the device inputs. The switch signal (the silhouette signal) is formed from the signal, which is used as the titres. The key level is the black level (the Luma Key).
The device is compatible with the Videoplayer system realizing a mini video server that playbacks video clips in accordance to a playlist. The feasibility of the video clip output control from a remote control panel.
Technical Feasibilities
The output signals of the PAL system, the CVBS (two outputs), and one S-Video or Y-U-V output to order. The two-channel digital frame synchronizer. Correction of the video and audio parameters separately for each of the inputs with memory. Tuning of the subcarrier PAL phase. The high-quality SECAM encoder (optionally) with the 14-digit DAC and 4-fold oversampling with the adaptive digital rejection filter. The test line generator. The logotype loading with the ? -channel from a computer through the RS232. The relay bypass for the composite signal when disabled. The switched configurations of 6 composite inputs or 1 S-Video and 4 composite inputs or 2 S-Video and 2 composite inputs. The separate input of external synchronization. The remote control panel through the RS232. Full PC remote control capability
Feasibilities of the Built-in Sign Generator
The built-in function for overlaying the output video signal of the device with text information in a form of fixed inscriptions, crawling text, or vertical scrolling.
The text typing is performed at the IBM compatible 101-key keyboard connected directly to the base unit. The text is displayed at the control output of the device and could be stored in the energy independent memory.
The titre display could be done both from the IBM keyboard and on commands from the mixer panel launching text pages prepared beforehand. One can also use the mode of on-line typing and outputting fixed text on the air.
The energy independent memory bank for the text information storing is divided in 12 folders of 48 pages each. The page contains 11 lines and 462 symbols. The pages in a folder could be combined through indication of the page number whereby the transition should be done.
The built-in simple text editor; several scrolling rates; the arbitrary setting of the scrawling text level on the screen; pauses of different durations. A single font with the Cyrillic and Latin layout. Four colours of the font. The font is multi-gradational with the a-channel and the edging well seen against any background.
Software Support
The code for logotype loading. The software opened to designers for the device control through a computer. The code Videoplayer for the system Mini Video Server (DSC700 + PC + 2 MPEG2 player cards + software).
